Finding Homes

The absolute best way to find Foreclosed Homes, HUD homes in your area, Bank Owned or REO properties is to consult with local Realtors in your area.  They will have the resources and access to the local MLS system where most homes for sale are listed.  You can ask your agent to put you on an auto notification system that will update you on a regular basis for homes of this type that are for sale.

They can use any of your parameters to set up these notifications.  Typically you can limit your searches by any number of criteria (ie: price, area, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, square footage, style, etc.) and have only these homes emailed to you on a regular basis. Now how easy is that!

You will also need to have an agent who is registered to sell HUD homes if those are the homes you are interested in. Be picky when you are choosing an agent. I would recommend using an agent with years of experience selling investment properties.  They will know the values in the area, the rental amounts, the lenders that lend on investment properties, home inspectors, etc. To Find a local Realtor to help, you can look for one on the HUD site within the State that you are looking to buy. HUD Certified Realtors.
